Welcome to Kinder Tykes

At Kinder Tykes, we understand that childcare costs can be a large burden for families, so we sought our state certification as a childcare provider. This means we have been CPR certified, federally background checked, taken all the mandatory courses for childcare (with ongoing education part of the requirements), achieved a 1 star (with a goal of being 3 stars in 2 years), and are able to accept CCAP! 

At Kinder Tykes, we believe social emotional development is part of the learning experience. We have a 2015 Toyota Sienna equipped with car seats and automatic doors to transport the kiddos to a public setting once a week. This activity is sure to help with learning proper behavior while in a public setting.

We offer learning instruction from the Creative Curriculum that instills learning experiences for children at a developmentally appropriate level. Our daily routines foster a sense of security and expectation that helps for kindergarten readiness. These requirements are dictated by the state and are subject to random audits to ensure compliance.

Our Childcare is partnered with Our Daily Bread to ensure we continue to meet USDA food requirements for food consumption. This includes random inspections of the refrigerator and food prepping activities to make sure our team is safe, sanitary, and in line with federal food service regulations.

Our dedicated and caring staff are passionate about early childhood education and have the experience and qualifications to provide high-quality care. Jessica Meier, the owner, is equipped with a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Legal Studies. She also is enrolled for an additional Masters Program in Early Childhood Education with Morehead State University spring 2025. 

While our ratios are well below state thresholds, we maintain a small group for that one on one attention your child deserves.

We understand the importance of working together with parents to support each child's development. Our parent resources include regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and access to our online parent portal with Brightwheel.

We have 3 dogs and 4 cats. The animals are all aligned with state regulations and vaccinations. While animals are kept separate from the children and the play area, there are times when learning opportunities will be incorporated into daily instruction to help with social emotional development and sensory exploration.
